Data protection guidelines
Solare Datensysteme GmbH (hereafter SDS) respects the privacy of anybody who visits or uses Solar-Log™ WEB (SL WEB). Below we would like to inform you about what data SDS collects and how it is used. We should also like to inform you particularly that we ask you for personal data and this is stored electronically. Your customer data is stored and further processed by us in compliance with the relevant provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG). Your personal data is only collected for specified, unequivocal, lawful purposes and is not stored for anybody any longer than necessary.
1. Collecting non-personal data
You can visit our website or the SL WEB portal without having to give any personal details. We only save your access data without personal references, such as the browser type/ version, the operating system used, URL references (the page visited), host name of the computer being used for access (IP address; time of the server query. This data is only evaluated to improve our services and does not enable us to determine your identity.
2. Personal data
We record personal data, such as address data, in machine readable form if you give this to us voluntarily when registering for our SL WEB monitoring. We process the data you give us only in order to fulfil and process your order and for purposes for using SL WEB, to advise our customers, for advertising and market research for our own purposes and to design our services according to requirements.
When the contract has been completed and full payment received your data will be blocked for further use and deleted by us after existing time periods imposed on us by tax and commercial law obligations have expired unless you have expressly approved the continuing use of your data. If you have subscribed to our newsletter your e-mail address and your consent will be used for particular advertising purposes until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
3. System data
The user's system data will be recorded in SDS's SL WEB and further processed and also forwarded in anonymised form in order to enable and illustrate regional yield comparisons publicly, for example. Users also have the option to make their system data with personal attributes visible to all users.
4. Forwarding personal data to third parties
Your personal data is only passed on or otherwise imparted to third parties if this is necessary for the purposes of fulfilling the contract, especially the passing on of order data to suppliers or if you have previously expressly given your consent. In these cases the amount of data transferred is, however, restricted to the required minimum. You have the right to revoke any consent to pass on your data at any time with effect from a date in the future. Your data is only passed on to other people if there is a legal obligation to do this. This applies to authorities, for example. In addition we will never pass on your personal data to third parties for commercial or non commercial purposes.
Payments will be made by PayPal. In this event your data will be passed on to them.
During the payment procedure you will be directed to PayPal's website. You will only enter your confidential data on the payment supplier's page. There is a secure connection there. You can find out more about the security of payments from PayPal.
We use what are called cookies in several places on our web site and our SL WEB portal. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and that your browser saves on your computer. They are used to make our services more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Most of the cookies we use are what are called session cookies. These are automatically deleted from your computer after the end of your session on our website.
Other cookies remain on your hard disk and enable us to offer particular user-friendly services, such as greeting you by your user name, access to specific customer areas without having to enter the password again or pre-filling forms.
Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. If you do not want to accept cookies you can prevent this by a corresponding setting on your Internet browser.
6. Google Analytics
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website we need an e-mail address from you and information that allows us to check that you are the owner of the specified e-mail address or that its owner agrees to the receipt of the newsletter. No other data is collected. You can revoke your consent to storing the data, the e-mail address and using it to send the newsletter at any time.
8. Withdrawing consent
You may have expressly granted the following consents during the order process or by entering it on our website:
I declare that I consent to being informed by SDS of any innovations and any changes, restrictions or extensions necessary for the proper operation and effective use of the portal. (You can unsubscribe at any time)
We would like to point out that you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect from a date in the future.
9. Right of access and deletion
You are entitled at any time to have access to, to correct, block and if necessary delete your stored data. Please contact us or send us your request by post, e-mail or fax. The personal data will be deleted when you withdraw your consent to saving it, if knowledge of this is no longer necessary to meet the purpose of saving it or if saving it is not permissible for other legal reasons.
